World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft has been updated! 1.5 has gone live.

Several mods have been updated due to this change. They are:

BuffTimers 1.3

Contains a minor update to bring it in sync with Blizzard's default UI.

SimpleInventory 0.9 Beta

Since they added the Battlegrounds, the little Battlegrounds thing interferes with the old trackers.

I've updated the SimpleInventory and CombatMusic addons.

SimpleInventory 0.8 Beta
This veresion adds several tabs to the bottom of the window, allowing you to view weapons and armor along with your inventory. These tabs also allow you to access your bank through the SimpleInventory window after talking with the banker. (Yes, the Bank window will still be displayed. No, I'm not planning on changing that soon.)

It also moves the tooltip to the left of the current item the mouse is over.

This version is supposed to allow you to drop items on empty slots in the inventory display, but that doesn't appear to be actually working right now.

I've created an addon that allows you to play music when you enter/leave combat. (Note that with the current "in combat" bug you may find yourself in combat more often than you'd like.)

You'll need to configure it, but a ReadMe file explains how to do it.

This is a list of various "extra information" about the upcoming 1.5 patch off the World of Warcraft forums.

Cloth Donation patch allows players to gain reputation, allowing you to raise your faction to exaulted with various other factions using a fairly simple repeatable quests. (Sucks to be a tailor, though.)

Auto-Taunt for hunter pets is now broken.

Nightfall (Warlock talent) no longer procs.

I'll add more later.

Along with that, I have two updates.

Simple Inventory 0.7-beta

This update moves the inventory pane to the right hand side of the screen. It now acts like the standard container frames. There is now a button to access the inventory around the minimap:

Update: Released 1.2.1, which fixes a few bugs and makes the rate meter properly reset after starting the game (except in cases of extreme lag).

Download XPMonitor 1.2.1

This fixes a few bugs and adds a new feature for hunters, displaying information on the XP your pet has received along with yourself.

It also updates /xprate so it now takes three subcommands:

/xprate on - turn on the rate display
/xprate off - turn off the rate display
/xprate reset - reset the rate display

When the rate display is reset, it will display "---".

The World of Warcraft 1.4 patch was released.

Update: Turns out most of the addons still work. That leaves the modification, which breaks because of the updated weapon enchantment stuff.

So grab the new version to fix it.

Update: I've upgraded the XP Monitor.

First, the XP information popup has been moved so it no longer appears over your first party member. Secondly, an XP Rate monitor has been added over your character. You can toggle this on or off using the /xprate command. When toggled on/off, you reset the rate information. It updates every minute. As before, you can force the popup to redisplay by using the /xpmon command.

If you play as a casting class and have only enabled the bottom right action bar, you'll notice that the casting bar winds up behind it. Oops.

Fortunately it's a quick fix.
