Why I Don't Subscribe to Slashdot

According to Slashdot, someone's managed to create an energy device that's capable of achieving over 100% efficiency!

It's important news like that, which completely ignores minor things like thermodynamics, that ensures that no matter how often they beg for people to pay for the site that I never will.

According to the Slashdot summary, "[t]he article talks about the technology but doesn't exactly lay out specifics."

Gee. I wonder if that might be because perpetual motions machines are not possible!

It's a "geek news site," the editors should know that and not post obvious crap science!

So, thank you Slashdot, for continuing to remind me why I don't bother subscribing.
